If education is exempted from GST, will they still charge service tax in coaching centres?

Hi Sir

Education services provided by coaching centres will be taxable under GST at 18%.

The education services which are not taxable under GST are as follows:

(i) Pre-school education and education up to higher secondary school or equivalent;

(ii) Education as a part of a curriculum for obtaining a qualification recognized by any law for the time being in force.

(iii) Education as a part of an approved vocational education course.

Hence coaching centre services will be taxable under GST.
